5th Conference on Physiology of Yeasts and Filamentous Fungi
5th Conference on Physiology of Yeasts and Filamentous Fungi will be hosted at Montpellier, France
From June 4th to 7th, 2013
Montpellier is an historical city in the South of France with beautiful landscapes, located just a few kilometers from the Mediterranean coast, which can be easily reached via Montpellier-Méditerranée international Airport or by train. The conference will be held at Le Corum Conference Centre, a congress centre ideally located in the heart of the city, at walking distance from historic sites, shops, hotels and restaurants.
During the last years, the explosion of comparative and functional genomics, the development of system and synthetic biology and the expansion of metabolic and evolutionary engineering, have boosted up our understanding of these eukaryotic models and led to exciting developments in the biotechnological, food and pharmaceutical industries. The 5th PYFF is a unique opportunity to explore the latest advances in the basic and applied aspects of the physiology of these eukaryotic models and for exchanges between the yeast and fungal research communities.
After the success of the four previous meetings in Middelfart (2001), Anglet (2004), Helsinki (2007) and Rotterdam (2010), we hope that this edition will, once again, offer a dynamic and friendly environment for stimulating exchanges and discussions.
The conference will be held from Tuesday June 4 (evening reception) to Friday June 7 afternoon, 2013. Please book these dates now. We look forward to welcoming you to Montpellier in June 2013.
